  • Mature Size: 20’ Tall x 15’ Wide

    Annual Growth: 12-24”

    Specific Maintenance: Remove any suckers from base of tree in early summer.

    General Maintenance: Regular watering, Structural Pruning (every 5-10 yrs), Annual balanced fertilizer (May-June, slow-release), Protect from deer.

    Fragrant light pink flowers, persistent (clean) fruit, reddish summer foliage, moderate growth rate, orange fall color, great cold-hardiness, wind tolerant, drought tolerant, no major disease or pest concerns, soil adaptable. Tiny fruit hangs all winter (birds love it), and shrivels up before dropping dry in Spring.

    Drawbacks:

    Remove shoots at base of trunk in June. If evidence of fireblight appears (dead shoots in July), prune out affected area.
