Specific Maintenance: Remove any suckers from base of tree in early summer. Edible berries ripen in June/July.
General Maintenance: Regular watering, Structural Pruning (every 5-10 yrs), Annual balanced fertilizer (May-June, slow-release), Protect from deer.

Benefits:
White flowers, airy canopy, Bright red-orange fall color, great cold-hardiness, wind tolerant, drought tolerant, soil adaptable, no major disease or pest concerns.
Drawbacks:
Slow growth rate. Remove shoots at base of trunk in June. Berries may stain pavement.
