Bright yellow flowers in early summer are the hallmark of this weeping shrub. Coldhardy, fairly drought tolerant, and smaller than most other weeping trees.

SPECIFIC MAINTENANCE: stake until well established to protect against wind.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE: REGULAR WATERING, STRUCTURAL PRUNING (EVERY 5-10 YRS), ANNUAL BALANCED FERTILIZER (MAY-JUNE, SLOW-RELEASE), PROTECT FROM DEER.

Benefits:
Coldhardy, soil adaptable, few disease/pest issues, low maintenance, low mess.
Drawbacks:
Often unavailable. Also if not staked at planting, this variety often leans to one side. Stakes can be removed after first few years.
