  • Mature Size: 25’ Tall x 23’ Wide

    Annual Growth: 18-30”

    Specific Maintenance: Remove any suckers from base of tree in early summer. Remove fireblight infections to keep tree healthy long-term.

    General Maintenance: Regular watering, Structural Pruning (every 5-10 yrs), Annual balanced fertilizer (May-June, slow-release), Protect from deer.

  • Benefits:

    Fragrant white flowers, entirely fruitless, dense foliage, quick growth rate, gold fall color, great cold-hardiness, wind tolerant, drought tolerant, soil adaptable, no major pest concerns, handles fireblight well.

    Drawbacks:

    Remove shoots at base of trunk in June. If evidence of fireblight appears (dead shoots in July), prune out affected area.
